Make an Impact in the Kitchen & Dining Hall
One of the most hands-on and impactful ways to begin serving at the mission is in our kitchen. From prepping ingredients and cooking to organizing food, setting up the dining area, serving meals, and helping with cleanup, you’ll play a direct role in caring for guests experiencing homelessness. Every plate you help prepare is an act of dignity and hope.
Give the Gift of a Meal
You or your group can make a real difference by sponsoring a meal. Simply pick a date to provide breakfast or dinner—or even just a portion of a meal—and bring hope and nourishment to a neighbor facing homelessness.
Lend a Hand in the Office
Step into a behind-the-scenes role that makes a big impact! You could answer phones, organize mail, assist with data entry, or help with administrative tasks. You might also welcome and guide new guests during intake, ensuring everyone feels seen, supported, and valued. Every task you take on helps keep the mission running and hearts lifted.

Barbers & Stylists: Help guests look—and feel—their best.
Donation Team: Sort, stock, and organize food, clothing, and hygiene items to meet urgent needs.
Chapel & Tech Crew: Lead worship, run presentations, and bring our chapel experience to life.
Empower Through Skill-Building
Mentor a guest during their time at Beacon Light.
Share your expertise. Teach practical skills like budgeting, computer literacy, resume writing, or even hobbies that inspire and empower our guests.
